The Gap Xperience’s other newcomer, bassist Chris Black, launched his career as a musician and producer working with top R&B, jazz and gospel artists including Les McCann, Bobby Lyle, Phil Perry, Najee, The O’Jays, Patti Labelle, Shirley Caesar, Beyonce and Bishop T.D. Jakes. Most recently, he has been MD for Regina Belle and former American Idol contestant Lakisha Jones. Chris is also founder and CEO of the independent record label Blackpearl Music, Inc., and CEO/President of CBA School of the arts, which gives at risk and low income families an opportunity to enjoy the arts.
